JANUARY 2023

Welcome to the New Year! There is a focus this year for all of us on justice and fairness. This may be interpersonal – just between you and another individual. (This will especially be the case for siblings this year). Or it may relate to groups of people, i.e., nations, governments, or classes/ethnic groups. It is in our best interest to align with what is just, as that is what Universe is trying to bring about. This year will also bring good luck to us all as a collective. In this context, “good luck” means ease and equanimity in big and small things. Problems that have been difficult to solve in the past may suddenly be resolved with very little effort. This good luck applies to all areas of life, but especially Money and Career. Lastly, this year will encourage us to focus on that which is holy and sacred. This energy will be present regardless of our personal spiritual beliefs or lack thereof. We will be asked to reflect on and set aside that which is ordained by something larger than ourselves. This is especially important in Love and Romance.

LOVE & ROMANCE: At this time, it is unwise to enter into sexual relationships casually. We are being asked to remember that sex can be a holy exchange of energy, but that it can also be a portal for parasites or ill-intended entities. Use discernment in your romantic and sexual life, requesting help from your Higher Self, spiritual mentors, or wise elders in your community.

SPIRITUALITY: Male and masculine sources of spiritual knowledge are very beneficial this month. This may be an ancestor, a male deity, a priest, or a shaman. Also, traditionally masculine qualities - such as courage and aggression – are useful sources of protection this month. They will directly or indirectly impact your spiritual growth this month.

FAMILY: Siblings will be in competition this month. Underneath what might appear to be petty sibling issues, there are deeper problems of fairness and justice that should be sorted out. Much of this conflict began in prior lifetimes.

CAREER & MONEY: Good luck is abundant this month in money matters. This can look very different for everyone. For one person, this may mean a raise or promotion; for another this may mean parting ways with an employer who is domineering or does not appreciate you. You can trust the financial changes that seem to come about with little effort on your part.

HEALTH: Root vegetables are very healing this month for those of us who have trouble investing in the physical plane. This could be due to depression, prior trauma, or an aversion our soul may have to being in a physical body. Usually, this will look like difficulty in staying grounded. It is also beneficial this month to engage in community more than usual. This may be a club, friend group, or online community. Family of Origin and Family of Creation are both areas of life that are active this month. Citrus foods support the lower chakras, which relate to both of these areas of life.
